Bio

Eric Daniel Smolen

Born and raised in Wilton, CT I grew up with a deep appreciation for the outdoors, nature and cooking good food. In school I played football, and was also a theater nerd. By the time I left high school, I worked for both a Zagat-rated and James Beard awarded restaurant group.

At Emerson College I studied marketing and film, and designed a major that encompassed both; a major which the school now offers. Out of college, I turned my eyes towards production.

I moved to LA in 2016 and quickly found myself racking up days on commercial shoots as an in-demand PA. My real interest, however was the camera.

Outside of work I have been developing and shooting most of my own projects, building a reel and cultivating client work.

Refocusing my interests and strengths, I'm pursuing work in the content creation space and moved back to the East Coast May 2022 to pursue these goals.

Currently, I work at Connoisseur Media as their lead Videographer/Photographer.
